YPO’s mission is to attract and retain young professionals throughout
Northwest Connecticut by networking, community
involvement and professional development.

Northwest Connecticut’s Chamber of Commerce created the Young Professionals Organization (YPO) to support and expand the population of young professionals in our region. YPO’s ultimate goal is to make Northwest Connecticut an inviting and attractive place for young professionals to live and work by working with the young professional community. The Chamber recognizes that business, state and local government and the community all rely on young people succeeding their predecessors in leadership roles.  Without leaders to fill vacancies or offer fresh ideas, our region will struggle to remain competitive. 

The Young Professionals Organization targets men and women in their twenties and thirties to help them develop a peer network and roots in the community. YPO does this

by hosting social networking events at local businesses and providing professional development seminars and community service opportunities in which members can participate.
